She ranked 715th in her division (F40-49), and 4617th among female participants. Initially, Dorothy maintained a steady pace, beginning with a 13:17 min/mile for the first mile. Notably, her performance on Hayes Hill, from 2.2 to 2.7 miles, slightly slowed with a 17:22 min/mile split. Over this challenging section, her overall pace adjusted but she kept moving forward. Post-Hayes Hill, Dorothy regained her momentum, closing her run strong with a notably improved 13:45 min/mile for the final mile. Her persistence was evident as she managed to improve her position after the hill, climbing to 535th in her division by mile 6. To build on this performance, maintaining her strong finishes from race's mid-point onward in similar conditions would be excellent.
