Strong Finish and Strategic Pacing Megan from PAC RUN CLUB displayed a strong performance in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K event. Megan finished with an elapsed time of 1:25:59, covering 7.45 miles at an average pace of 11:32 min/mile. Throughout the race, Megan maintained a consistent pace, with slight variations. Notably, there was substantial progress on Hayes Hill, evident in the improved split times; the steep section increased her Elapsed Pace to 12:18 min/mile, but she recovered remarkably with a 9:44 min/mile split in the 7th mile. Starting strongly, Megans first mile pace was 11:43 min/mile. A standout improvement occurred between miles 6 and 7, where she significantly accelerated, clocking splits of 10:34 min/mile and 9:44 min/mile, respectively. This improvement highlights potential in both speed and endurance. As her finish places were consistently within the top 500 in her division in later miles, focusing on early race pacing strategies may enhance overall placement even further. Well done, Megan!
