Consistent Finish Despite the Tough Midway Jessica Figueroa maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race, completing it in 2:13:55 with an average pace of 17:58 min/mile. She finished in the top half of all participants, placing 12,931 out of 24,386. Notably, her splits indicate a gradual pace increase after the third mile. Initially, her first mile kicked off at a 13:30 min/mile pace, ranking 6,155 in her gender, F, and 1,910 in the F30-39 division. Between the second and third mile, including the steep Hayes Hill, her pace dropped significantly, reaching a 29:22 min/mile pace. However, recovery was evident as the pace dropped to 18:15 min/mile by the seventh mile. Impressively, she climbed her way up in ranking to 9,680 overall. Continuing to improve after challenging sections could enhance her timing. Keep up the training with gradual hill work to consistently improve pace across all miles.
