Progressive Improvement on the Course Zoe Costianis from Glenview, IL participated in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K as a member of the "Bark or Die" team. She completed the race with an elapsed time of 2:13:32, covering 7.45 miles at an average pace of 17:55 min/mile. Zoe's performance placed her 14072nd overall out of 24523 participants. Among female participants, she ranked 6771st, and in her division (F20-29), she placed 2313rd. Zoe demonstrated remarkable progression as the race unfolded. After facing a challenging start with a 17:36 min/mile pace for the first mile, her pace increased temporarily during Hayes Hill to 28:55 min/mile between miles 2 and 3. However, she showed commendable resilience by improving to a 13:51 min/mile pace by the fifth mile. Notably, Zoe improved her pace steadily with a strong final mile pace of 11:58 min/mile.
