Pacing Gains in Final Miles Justin Seidel completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 15K Breakers Bonus with an overall time of 1:53:59, covering a distance of 9.22 miles at an average pace of 12:21 min/mile. Starting with consistent splits of 14:44 min/mile for the first two miles, Justin encountered a challenging section on Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, resulting in slower splits in miles 3 and 4 at 19:50 and 18:45 min/mile, respectively. However, he managed a remarkable recovery and finished strong with significantly quicker splits towards the end. Justin's strategic pacing adjustments paid off in the latter half of the race, where he achieved split times of 4:48 min/mile for each of the final three miles. His efforts were reflected in the placement, moving up from 2359th to 1714th overall. Keep focusing on sustaining energy through hill sections as further development may enhance performance in similar race profiles.
