The third and fourth miles, including the ascent on Hayes Hill, saw her pace slow to over 30 min/mile, which impacted her overall standings. She initially positioned at 12,438 among all participants and 6,166 in her gender. However, by the end of the race, her overall placement shifted to 17,979, while in her division (F30-39), she ended up with a rank of 2,873 out of 4,370. Interestingly, after overcoming Hayes Hill, her pace significantly improved. Miles 6 and 7 were completed with split times of 13:39 and 13:08 respectively. As a coach, I'd recommend focusing on hill training to enhance endurance on ascents like Hayes Hill while maintaining the strong finish observed in this race.
