Consistent Energy with Strategic Improvement Mali Vargas maintained a measured and consistent pace throughout the race, demonstrating strategic energy distribution. The initial 1-mile split at 22:53 min/mile improved in the second mile with a pace of 20:10 min/mile, indicating effective pacing strategy. Notably, the trek up Hayes Hill between miles 2 and 3 challenged Mali as the pace dropped to 52:33 min/mile. However, showing resilience, Mali enhanced her pace significantly in mile 6, clocking in at 12:46 min/mile, which was her fastest mile. Improvement in the final stages, particularly from mile 5 to mile 6, demonstrates Mali's strong finishing capability. As a participant in the F30-39 division, she ranked 3133rd with an overall time of 4:00:14. For future races, maintaining the momentum shown in the middle and last sections could lead to even more significant achievements. Great job representing the Fresno Beer Runners!
