Steady Progress with a Strong Finish The race began with a consistent start, as Jesse Allardice maintained a pace of 19:04 min/mile in the first mile, ranking 7033rd among males. Notably, the split from mile 2 to 3 encompassed Hayes Hill, where Jesse's pace slowed to 24:42 min/mile. However, Jesse showed remarkable adaptability, recovering back to an 18:23 min/mile pace by the 4th mile. A significant improvement was seen towards the end, with the fastest pace clocked at 8:38 min/mile in the final mile segment. Overall, Jesse finished the 12K race with an impressive pace of 16:24 min/mile. He finished 2179th in the M30-39 division. The split improvement during the latter portion of the race, particularly from mile 5 onwards, indicates a strong capability in managing race energy distribution. Continuing to work on hill strategies could further enhance overall performance.
