Consistent Pace Recovery After Steep Challenge Lyndon Ward started strong with a 7:38 min/mile in the first mile, placing 825th overall. His pace slowed slightly on the ascent of Hayes Hill, averaging 10:51 min/mile by mile three. Despite the increased difficulty of the course, Lyndon maintained remarkable consistency through the mid-race miles. From mile four onwards, Lyndon demonstrated his capability to recover, progressively improving his pace. He managed to bring his final mile splits back under 8:40 min/mile. Ending the race with a total time of 1:08:13 and an average pace of 9:09 min/mile, Lyndon finished strongly with his pacing and placement stable through the latter miles. Continuing to build endurance on hills could further improve future performance. Overall, Lyndon showcased a commendable ability to regain momentum after the steepest portion of the race.
