Strong Finish in the Final Miles Niva displayed impressive determination in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Her splits were consistent, starting with a 17:36 min/mile pace for the first and second miles. As she approached Hayes Hill, her pace slowed to 18:16 min/mile at mile three, understandable given the elevation change. Her strongest performance came in the later stages, improving to a 12:37 min/mile pace for miles six and seven. Overall, Niva covered 7.45 miles in a total time of 2:00:22, finishing 12,451st overall and 5,829th among female runners. In her division (F20-29), she placed 2,004th out of a large field. Notably, her performance in the final miles on an uphill section was strong, as evidenced by her improved pace. With focused attention on maintaining this strong finish throughout, she could further enhance her performance in future races. Being part of the Slow Runners Club, she truly exemplifies steady progress.
