Steady Progress and Improved Pacing James Hanosh demonstrated consistent improvement over the course of the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race. Starting with a pace of 31:57 min/mile for the first two miles, he demonstrated resilience as he navigated the race, particularly around the challenging segment of Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, improving his pace significantly to 28:43 min/mile in the third mile. His performance continued to strengthen, culminating in a final mile pace of 17:02 min/mile. Completing the race in 3:05:18, James achieved an overall pace of 24:52 min/mile for the 7.45-mile distance. His progression through the race led to a final placement of 560th in the M60-69 division.
