Steady Progression Kenneth showed consistent improvement in his pace throughout the race. Starting with an initial pace of 12:27 min/mile for the first mile, he progressively increased his speed, reaching a pace of 9:23 min/mile by mile six. The most significant improvement occurred between miles 3 and 4, where he achieved a split time of 10:53, advancing his overall standing significantly from 5410th to 3595th. By the race's conclusion, Kenneth completed the 12K in 1:20:22 with an overall pace of 10:47 min/mile. His standing at 3779th place in a field of 26,545 runners is commendable, with a substantial place leap noted as he approached the midpoint from the start of Hayes Hill climb just before mile 3 at 11:57 min/mile. Adjusting the pace sooner on inclines like Hayes Hill might yield faster overall times in future races. Maintaining the momentum from miles 6 onward can optimize performance further.
