Progressive Effort with Room for Strategic Adjustments Drew Fass completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers race with an overall time of 3:20:27, covering the 12K distance at an average pace of 26:54 min/mile. Noteworthy is Drew's steady performance among 26,545 participants, placing 9,291st in the male category and 2,397th in his age division (M20-29). Significant variation in split times is observed, particularly from mile 2 to mile 3, as the pace slowed to 33:35 min/milea segment coinciding with the infamous Hayes Hill. Encouraging improvement was later seen from mile 6 onwards, where Drew improved to a 19:25 min/mile pace. These insights suggest working on hill running and maintaining consistent energy distribution across the race could improve future performances.
