Strong Effort on Hayes Hill with a Quick Finish Mikhail showcased a steady pace for the majority of the Bay to Breakers 12K race. Notably, his splits began at a consistent 15:43 min/mile for the first two miles. However, the approach of Hayes Hill at mile 2.2 led to a significant impact on his pace, resulting in a decrease to 19:00 min/mile by mile 3. The ascent could have contributed to the drop in his position, but Mikhail handled the challenge by maintaining focus and steady effort. A significant aspect of Mikhail's race was his performance in the later stages. He demonstrated strong recovery after the climb, notably clocking an impressive 12:56 min/mile at mile 6. This positive split allowed him to improve his standing and finish with an overall time of 2:01:53, moving into 9,530th place overall by the sixth mile. Keeping focus on maintaining a consistent pace throughout will further enhance performance in future events.
