Steady Improvement on the Course Joo Yun Han showcased a commendable effort at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. She clocked in at 1:33:04 over the 7.45-mile course, maintaining an average pace of 12:29 min/mile. Starting with a consistent pace of around 13:30 min/mile for the first two miles, Joo Yun encountered the challenging Hayes Hill slightly slowing her pace to 15:43 min/mile in the third mile. Joo Yun then improved significantly, particularly from mile 4 onwards, consistently lowering her split times. Notably, her final miles were completed at a swift 10:55 and 10:54 min/mile. This progression is reflected in her remarkable climb in standings, moving from 8841 overall to 6996. A focus on maintaining this strong finish and building stamina for the hills could yield even greater results in future races.
