Consistent Improvement Across the Miles Kieran Pitt started the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with consistent pacing for the initial 2 miles, maintaining a solid 13:35 min/mile, which positioned him at 8969th overall. Notably, he navigated Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, where his pace understandably slowed to 14:54 min/mile. Despite this, he managed to improve his position significantly, climbing the ranks by over 1500 places by the 4th mile. From mile 4 onwards, Kieran's performance showed impressive acceleration, with each mile faster than the previous. His pace improved to 11:24 and 10:44 min/mile for the 5th and 6th miles, respectively. By race end, he achieved an average pace of 12:30 min/mile for the event, impressively finishing with an overall rank of 7052, which shows significant progress after tackling the challenging incline. The early pacing could improve, but his ability to finish strong is commendable.
