Progressive Gains Made Through Determination Kate Humphrey pushed through her 7.45-mile race with some notable statistical highlights worth mentioning. Early splits indicate consistent pacing, clocking 31:56 min/mile for the first two miles. Noticeably, she improved her pace significantly on the third mile, tackling Hayes Hill with a pace of approximately 30:32 min/mile. By the fourth mile, her pace dropped to 28:43 min/mile, a strong rebound post-hill climb. The most impressive acceleration came between the fifth and sixth mile, where she recorded a remarkable pace of 21:26 min/mile, signaling an effective adaptation and growing momentum. Her final 7-mile split time was completed at 19:25 min/mile, the fastest of her race. Kate made steady improvements in positioning, moving up in her division and gender placements across the course.
