He maintained a strong pace starting with a 5:29 min/mile in the first mile and held steady through most of the race despite a challenging climb from mile 2.2 to 2.7. Notably, he completed the ascent on Hayes Hill in a commendable 6:27, indicating sound strategy and resilience in handling uphill segments.
