Steady Pace with a Strong Finish Sarah Morejohn displayed consistent improvement throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race. Her overall time of 1:37:04, averaging a pace of 13:01 min/mile, is commendable, showcasing her ability to maintain endurance over the 7.45-mile course. Starting with splits of 15:49 per mile, Sarah showed major improvement by the third mile, clocking a faster split of 13:17 min/mile on the challenging Hayes Hill section, and further improved to a 10:03 min/mile split by mile six. The split times indicate a strong finish despite the early challenges. From her initial third-mile placement of 8502 overall, Sarah excelled to secure a finish at 8019 out of 26,545 participants, demonstrating a significant gain in position. Notably, she passed over 1,600 participants after mile two, indicating a well-executed race strategy.
