Consistent Progress and Determined Finish Sharon Bergmann maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, finishing with an overall time of 2:00:21. She had a promising start, clocking her first mile at a 19:11 pace, and showed significant improvement in mile two with a pace of 12:45, skillfully improving her position across divisions. Her remarkable progress can be seen especially between miles two and three, where she moved up over 3,000 places in overall standings. Although there was some slowdown on Hayes Hill between miles two and three, she managed a strong mid-race recovery. Her mile split between four and five demonstrated her ability to maintain a solid pace, despite the challenging sections of the course. Sharon completed the race with determination, placing 5303rd in the Female category and 1754th in the F30-39 division. Continuing to work on pacing consistency will further enhance her performance. Nonetheless, Sharon's persistence and overall effort were commendable.
