Consistent Improvement on the Course Sharon Bergmann demonstrated notable perseverance and progress throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Notably, Sharon improved significantly after the first mile. Her splits showed a commendable effort from a 19:11 min/mile to an impressive 15:09 min/mile by mile 4. Hayes Hill, notorious for its steep incline, challenged even the best, yet Sharon maintained determination with a split time of 15:29. Impressively, she moved up in placement, especially evident as she advanced by 3775 positions between mile 2 and mile 3. Finishing the race with a total time of 2:00:21, Sharon held a consistent overall pace of 16:09 min/mile. Her middle miles showcased stability, with just a minimal variation in pace. Reflecting on the latter stages of the race, honing in on maintaining pace across a long distance will be essential for the next competition. Celebrating her advancement and consistent approach, Sharon represented the Prancing Pickle Party with great effort.
