Consistent Effort with Strong Finish Jenny Mooc completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race with an overall time of 1:58:34 and an average pace of 15:54 min/mile. Beginning with a strong pace, she maintained a time of 14:15 min/mile for the first mile. Her performance on Hayes Hill, from miles 2 to 3, saw an increase in time, where the split pace reached 18:37 min/mile. Such a trend is often seen during hill climbs, which can naturally slow runners down. Significantly, Jenny improved her pace during the concluding miles, completing the 6th and 7th miles at 14:22 min/mile and 14:39 min/mile respectively. This finish helped her move back up in placement after the hill. Jenny's consistent effort propelled her to place 842nd in her division, F40-49, out of 26545 participants. Further focus on hill training might help enhance those challenging middle splits, while her strong finish highlights her stamina and determination.
