Maintained Steady Progress Throughout the Race In the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, David Pomeroy displayed a commendable ability to adjust and maintain a consistent pace. With an overall time of 3:20:22, and a pace averaging 26:53 min/mile, David managed to keep a steady rhythm across the 7.45-mile course. Notably, the steep Hayes Hill from miles 2.2 to 2.7 impacted his pacing, evidenced by a 32:11 min/mile split for mile 3. Despite the hill, David's later miles showed improvement in time, finishing the final mile with a 23:28 min/mile split, the fastest in the latter half of his race. David placed 9288th among male participants and 1088th in his M50-59 division out of a total of 26545 participants. His dedication to maintaining a consistent effort, especially in the latter stages of the race, is admirable. Continuing to focus on hill running and even pacing could benefit future performances.
