Consistent Effort in Bay to Breakers 12K David Pomeroy completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with a total time of 3:20:22, maintaining an overall pace of 26:53 minutes per mile for the 7.45-mile race. Starting strong with an 11:20-minute mile, David faced difficulties between miles 2 and 3, requiring 32:11 for that segment, coinciding with the challenging Hayes Hill climb. Noteworthy is the remarkable recovery during the final stretch, improving his pace to 23:28 for the last mile. David finished 18,490th overall out of 24,386 participants and 8,479th in his gender category. In his division (M50-59), he secured the 1,038th spot. While the middle sections saw a decrease in pace, targeting consistent pacing and hill training could enhance performance in future runs. The camaraderie and support from "The Taco Cats" team surely added to the experience. Well done on completing the course, David!
