Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Jack maintained a steady pace throughout the first two miles, clocking in at a consistent 12:20 min/mile. The climb from 2.2 to 2.7 miles on Hayes Hill slightly slowed his third mile to a 15:38 min/mile pace, but he quickly recovered. Impressively, he made significant improvements in the later miles, notably with a 10:29 min/mile in the final mile, showcasing his ability to finish strong. Jack's overall pacing strategy contributed to a respectable finish time of 1:29:35 over the 12K course, with an average pace of 12:01 min/mile. Among a large field of 26,545 participants, Jack placed 668th in the M40-49 division. His performance hints at potential gains in hill strength.
