Consistent Improvement Amidst Challenging Segments Stephanie recorded a total time of 1:49:36 for the 7.45-mile Bay to Breakers race, averaging a pace of 14:42 min/mile. Noteworthy was her progression through the race, initially pacing at 19:02 min/mile, dropping to 11:30 min/mile by mile 6. She navigated the steep Hayes Hill stretch efficiently, shown by the slower pace of 20:46 min/mile at mile 3, after which she improved consistently. Her final positions were 9807th overall, 4382nd among female participants, and 687th in the F40-49 division out of 24,386 runners. Notably, she gained significant placements, improving particularly between miles 3 and 4, where her division ranking increased from 643rd to 585th. Continuing to refine pacing strategy on uphill sections could further benefit her future races. Her experience in city events as a part of the UCSF team shows promising synergy.
