Steady Improvement and Strong Finish at the 2026 Bay to Breakers Charlotte Waechter ran the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with a final time of 1:15:27, averaging a pace of 10:07 min/mile. Her consistent pacing and strong finish were noteworthy, especially during the latter part of the race. She started with a 10:17 min/mile split for the first mile and improved her pace to 9:43 min/mile by the second mile. The third mile included an increase in time due to the steep Hayes Hill, where her pace moved to 13:03 min/mile. Post-Hayes Hill, Charlotte showed significant improvement, evidenced by a swift recovery pace of 8:51 min/mile for mile six, her fastest split of the race. Her strong performance in the latter half placed her 2207th overall at the 6-mile mark, significantly climbing the ranks.
