Steady Effort and Improved Focus on Hayes Hill Emma Jaeger from San Francisco completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with a final time of 3:16:53 and an average pace of 26:25 min/mile. Notably, Emma's best split pace occurred during the first mile at 21:14 min/mile. There's a distinct challenge between miles 2 and 3 during Hayes Hill, where the pace slowed to a split of 24:40 min/mile. Positively, she gained significant ground here, improving her placement from 16350 to 12456 overall. The most notable stretch was between miles 5 and 6, where Emma picked up the pace, completing the mile in 26:40 min/mile. Interestingly, the faster final miles were paired with maintaining her placements, going from 17696 in mile 5 to 15618 by the end.
