Momentum Build Leads to Strong Finish Olga Boiko demonstrated notable pacing strategy during the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Starting with a 13:14 min/mile pace over the first mile, she steadily increased her momentum, reaching her fastest pace of 11:25 min/mile by mile 7. Her overall pace was 14:30 min/mile across a total distance of 7.45 miles. Impressively, she moved from the 11,640th place overall after the second mile to finish 10,343rd out of 24,523 participants. In the F30-39 division, she moved up from 1,895th to finishing at 1,543rd place. Handling the Hayes Hill challenge between miles 2.2 and 2.7, Olga's pace of 18:18 min/mile was slower. However, a strong pace rebound followed during the remaining miles. Her split times decreased significantly, especially in the last two segments, showcasing her endurance and ability to conserve energy for a strong finish. Continued focus on hill training could further enhance her impressive performance.
