Strong Finish with a Negative Split Olga Boiko demonstrated a commendable effort in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race. Running a total distance of 7.45 miles with an overall time of 1:48:04, Olga maintained an average pace of 14:30 minutes per mile. Her progress throughout the race was notable. Starting with a mile pace of 13:14, she slowed slightly through the hilly middle section but finished strong with split times improving to 12:03 and finally 11:25. Despite a drop in pace at the steep Hayes Hill starting between miles 2.2 and 2.7, which contributed to a slower split of 18:18, Olga made a significant recovery. By the final miles, she improved her position, finishing 9555th overall, 4246th among female participants, and 1404th in her F30-39 division. Her determination was evident as she pushed through the later stages, shaving nearly two minutes per mile off her pace from earlier in the race.
