Impressive Early Pace and Steady Finish Timothy Hung opened the 2026 Bay to Breakers 15K Breakers Bonus with an impressive initial pace. Leading the field, he maintained first position for the first three miles, with elapsed times of 5:43, 5:58, and 6:31 per mile. Notably, the third split shows a decrease in pace while handling the steep Hayes Hill, which is commendable. In the latter half of the race, Timothy showcased consistent pacing. His elapsed pace hovered around 6:06 min/mile, with the 6th mile matching his earlier faster pace of 5:58. Finishing strong, Timothy secured 3rd place overall among 3,901 participants with a finishing time of 56:19. Maintaining a sub-6:10 pace for much of the race is a strong achievement. Consider continuing to build on handling challenging segments such as hill climbs for future races while sustaining the impressive pace elsewhere.
