Megan's Strong Finish with Tactical Pacing Megan maintained a steady performance during the 2026 Bay to Breakers. Her splits indicate a consistent effort throughout the race, with a noteworthy finish time of 1:26:16 for the 12K event. The race started with a strong pace of 11:38 min/mile in the first mile, slightly improving to 11:28 min/mile in the second mile. Notably, Megan demonstrated resilience on the steep Hayes Hill segment, as seen from the third mile split of 13:56 min/mile, where she gained 996 positions overall during this challenging section. Post-Hayes Hill, Megan showcased effective recovery and acceleration, particularly noticeable in the fifth and sixth miles with times of 10:54 and 9:50 respectively. Her final mile was consistent with a split pace of 9:48 min/mile, helping solidify her place within her division. Continuing to build stamina and maintain pace during inclines could further enhance Megans performance.
