Consistent Effort with a Strong Finish Simon maintained a steady pace throughout the race, experiencing some variance during Hayes Hill section between miles 2 to 3. This challenging section saw a split time of 17:09 at the third mile, noticeably slower than his early pace. However, Simon demonstrated resilience, speeding up significantly after, with mile splits of 11:11 at mile 4 and 11:08 at mile 5. A particularly strong finish was the highlight, with miles 6 and 7 showing improvement, recording a 9:52 and 9:33 split pace, respectively. This strong finish moved him up significantly in positions, particularly at miles 6 and 7, where he showed faster pace and climbed in rankings. Overall, with an average pace of 11:34 min/mile and a final time of 1:26:14, Simon's determination and capacity to accelerate towards the end are commendable.
