Consistent Finish with Stronger Endurance in Later Miles Atish maintained a steady pace throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, completing it in 2:45:05. Beginning with an initial pace of 20:49 min/mile, there was an observable slowdown in the second mile at 29:54 min/mile, which continued to the third mile as he tackled Hayes Hill, as reflected in a small decrease to 21:57 min/mile. Impressively, Atish managed to quicken his pace in the later stages, dropping back down to 19:26 min/mile by the seventh mile. He significantly improved on his place in the latter parts, decreasing his overall position from 13938 at the fifth mile to 12256 by the finish line. Maintaining a consistent occupancy in the top half of his division with a final placement of 2562 out of 24386 total participants shows a commendable strength in endurance over the course. Considering the pacing challenges observed earlier in the race, focusing on initial splits could enhance future performances.
