Consistent Effort with Strong Finish Chad Batchelor maintained a consistent pace at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K, finishing with an impressive burst of speed. The initial miles were clocked at 12:19 per mile, up through the first two splits. As Hayes Hill approached, there was a slight deceleration, with miles three and four slowing to 13:32 and 13:43, respectively. Around the 5-mile mark, Chad experienced a slight uptick in pace, maintaining a 13:43 pace before picking up speed significantly in the last two miles. Notably, the final splits registered at 11:21 and 11:29, showcasing a strong finish. Overall, he completed the race in 1:33:20, with an average pace of 12:31 min/mile. His placement in the M40-49 division was 705 out of a large field, which shows his strong individual performance compared to many. Well done on the consistent pacing and fantastic finish!
