Consistent Mid-Race Gains in Tough Conditions Sreelekha Potluri demonstrated impressive resilience across the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Starting with a steady pace of 16:35 min/mile, her performance was challenged on Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, with her split time at mile 3 slowing to 23:58. Despite this, Sreelekha effectively navigated the demanding portion and improved her overall placement by over 2,600 positions from mile 3 to mile 6. In the second half of the race, Sreelekha regained momentum with a notable split pace of 18:49 min/mile at mile 6, which marked her fastest split after the initial mile. Finishing the 7.45-mile course with a total time of 2:31:13, her strategic pacing resulted in a respectable placement in her gender and division: 7,388th of 12,907 females and 2,343rd in F30-39.
