Consistent Improvement with Strong Finish Florence Jullian showed notable pacing strategy during the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. She started with a pace of 16:50 min/mile at the 1-mile mark, improving significantly by the 2-mile split to a 12:35 min/mile. This pace increase helped her overall rank, moving her up from 10508th place to 6577th place by the 6-mile mark. Particularly commendable was her performance over Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7. Despite the incline, her pace only slightly decreased to 15:12 min/mile but then improved to 14:31 min/mile after the climb. Florence's finish was strong, maintaining a consistent sub-14-minute pace in the latter half of the race. The final two splits were impressive with times of 11:37 and 11:42 min/mile. She completed the 12K in 1:40:24, achieving an average pace of 13:28 min/mile. It would be beneficial to maintain those earlier paces across the entire race to capitalize on her evident endurance and capability. Well done, Florence!
