Steady Progress with a Strong Finish Rowan King maintained a steady start in the 2026 Bay to Breakers race, consistently clocking 23:33 min/mile for the first two miles. Notably, during the challenging third mile, he took 28:11 to complete it, which coincides with the incline of Hayes Hill. Despite this, he improved significantly afterward, shifting from 25:59 min/mile for the fourth mile to an impressive 22:20 min/mile during the fifth mile. His performance in the latter part of the race was striking, clocking a swift 10:39 in the sixth mile and maintaining a steady 12:07 pace in the final stretch. This strong finish led him to complete the 12K event in 2:32:10, achieving an overall pace of 20:25 min/mile. In the male 20-29 division, he placed 1780th.
