Consistent Effort with Strategic Improvements Ben Fong demonstrated steady progress during the 2026 Bay to Breakers 15K Breakers Bonus. His initial split of 12:41 per mile showed a strong start, keeping consistent around Hayes Hill. Notably, Ben exhibited resilience, recovering from a slower split of 15:36 on the steep Hayes Hill by gradually increasing his pace thereafter. His performance improved significantly at mile 7 with a split time of 12:05. Post-hill, Ben maintained his focus, finishing with an overall elapsed time of 2:02:41 and an average pace of 13:18 minutes per mile. His ability to refine pacing and regain speed after challenging sections is commendable. For future races, focusing on maintaining a slightly faster pace throughout and strategizing hills could be beneficial.
