Resilient Finish: Uphill Battle Conquered Luis Canales demonstrated determination in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K event, representing Team Fugazi. Covering 7.45 miles in 2:43:15, Luis maintained a consistent, if varied, pace across the race. Starting with a split of 23:25 for the first mile, he managed to increase his pace to 21:26 in the second mile. It's notable that the segment from 2 to 3 miles coincides with the challenging Hayes Hill, resulting in a slower pace of 31:17. After conquering Hayes Hill, Luis executed a steady performance, maintaining splits in the 30-minute range through the next two miles. A noticeable improvement was observed in the last two splits, completing miles six and seven with much quicker times of 10:24 and 10:34, respectively.
