Steady Improvement and Momentum Gain Grant Bishop completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K event representing Team Fugazi. With a total distance of 7.45 miles covered in 3:38:46, Grant maintained an average pace of 29:21 min/mile. Out of 24,386 participants, Grant placed 19,195th overall. Starting strong with the first mile at a 21:16 min/mile pace, Grant faced challenges on the course. Particularly between miles 2 and 4, the pace slowed significantly, with the steep incline of Hayes Hill between 2.2 and 2.7 miles evident in the slower 3rd mile split time of 33:54. Encouragingly, the final stages showed an improved pace, with mile 6 clocked at 22:21 min/mile. Maintaining focus on refining pacing strategies for challenging terrains could enhance future performances.
