Consistent Pacing with Strong Mid-Race Improvement Eric maintained a consistent start with each of the first two miles resulting in an identical split pace of 11:13 per mile. This steady pacing paid off, particularly in the third mile where he impressively improved his split time to 11:05, even as he tackled the challenging section that includes Hayes Hill. This adjustment saw him climb significantly in his division ranking from 59th to 36th place. By the fifth mile, Eric was clocking an impressive 9:18 split pace, demonstrating significant improvement and pacing. Erics final times showcase a noteworthy triumph, completing the 15K Bay to Breakers event with a total time of 1:29:47 and an overall pacing of 9:44 minutes per mile. Despite the demanding course, Eric maintained a positive trend through the race, managing to secure 36th place in the M50-59 division. Great job finding a stronger pace in the middle stages; maintaining this throughout could enhance overall performance further.
