Consistent Start with a Strong Finish Ethan Weiss, representing Marea Therapeutics, demonstrated consistency in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race. Ethan maintained an even pace of around 10:00 to 10:01 min/mile for the first two miles, holding steady at the 2333rd spot overall. The challenge of the notoriously steep 0.5-mile Hayes Hill influenced his pace, slowing to 12:39 min/mile between the second and third miles, where he gained positions, improving to 2303rd overall and climbing up in the male and division categories. Post-Hayes Hill, Ethan picked up speed effectively, reducing his pace to 9:19 min/mile between miles five and six.
