Consistent Performance on Challenging Terrains Yue Xu demonstrated encouraging consistency in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Yue paced steadily, recording an overall time of 2:05:10 and an average pace of 16:48 min/mile. Notably, despite encountering the challenging Hayes Hill segment between miles 2.2 and 2.7, Yue improved her position from 10554 overall at mile 2 to 7703 by mile 3, moving up significantly to 537th place in the F40-49 division. Throughout the race, Yue maintained strength and consistent pacing. At mile 6, she achieved her second-fastest split at 17:16 min/mile. Finishing 856th in her division, Yue's strategy to tackle the hills appears effective. For future races, a focus on maintaining early race consistency could yield further improvements in overall and divisional placements. Overall, well-paced and a significant gain in positioning during the mid-race offered a solid performance. Keep up the great work!
