Impressive Finish with Strong Mid-Race Rally Hannah Hermann delivered a determined performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K event. Beginning with a consistent pace, Hannah maintained an initial split of 20:15 min/mile for both the first and second miles. The Hayes Hill section, beginning at 2.2 miles, contributed to a slight slowing with a pace of 21:43 min/mile at the third split. However, she showed perseverance as she improved her pace significantly in the latter portions of the race. Notably, Hannah achieved a remarkable pace improvement during the fifth and sixth miles with split paces of 11:47 and 13:30 min/mile, respectively, showcasing her stamina and strength. Her final split at 10:05 min/mile emphasized a well-executed finish. Completing the course in a total time of 2:06:44 and placing 2155th in her division among females aged 20-29 is a commendable result. Continued focus on consistent pacing should enhance future performances.
