Consistent Effort and Positive Finish Leah Stander completed the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K with an overall time of 2:15:56. Her pace was consistent at an average of 18:14 min/mile. Noticeably, her pace improved in the second half of the race, particularly after climbing Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, where she maintained a steady effort despite the demanding conditions. Her fastest splits appeared in the final two miles, where her determination led her to reach a strong pace of 16:57 min/mile in the last split. Leah made significant gains in placement, moving from 12483 overall to finish at 9626 overall. In the Female 50-59 Division, Leah advanced from 621 at mile 1 to finishing 470 by the race's end, overtaking over a hundred competitors. As part of the Fenton Grant Defect Solvers team, Leah represented her team with a disciplined and focused performance. To further enhance results, continuing to build on the impressive split improvements will be beneficial.
