Consistent Pace with Strong Mid-Race Recovery Eva maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race. Her initial mile was completed in 10:31, setting a steady foundation. Despite a slowdown during Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, her pace steadily improved after mile 5, where she clocked a 10:42 and then a 10:40 for the next two splits. A notable improvement in her standings occurred in the third mile, where Eva moved up significantly in her division, improving from 494th to 310th place in the F20-29 division. Continuing this trend could enhance her overall performance in future events. Completing the race in 1:24:47, she maintained an overall pace of 11:22 min/mile, demonstrating endurance and ability to recover mid-race.
