Consistent Effort with Notable Mid-Race Push Sean maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race with a total time of 1:46:34 and an average pace of 14:18 min/mile. His splits show a stable start, with an improvement in pace during the second mile (12:35 min/mile). Notably, despite the challenging Hayes Hill segment from 2.2 to 2.7 miles, Sean managed a pace of 17:49 min/mile on the third mile. Afterward, he regained momentum, especially between the 5th and 6th miles with an impressive 11:31 min/mile split. Sean's strongest segment was the 6th mile, where he significantly advanced his standings, rising over 1,200 places in overall position from the previous split. This demonstrates his capability for a strong mid-to-late race surge. Maintaining consistency in the early miles and avoiding a slowdown on ascents could help improve even further.
