Steady Progress and Strong Finish Matheus Camacho delivered a consistent performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Starting with an initial pace of 13:08 min/mile for the first two miles, Matheus maintained focus and improved his pace substantially over the course, especially evident after passing the notoriously steep Hayes Hill. Particularly impressive was his fastest split of 9:46 min/mile, recorded between miles 5 and 6, showcasing his resilience and capability to gain momentum. Finishing the 7.45-mile event in 1:26:12 with an average pace of 11:34 min/mile, Matheus ascended to 5222nd overall, marking a significant gain from earlier placements.
