Steady Progress Amidst Challenges Giana Stanco maintained consistent performance throughout the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K Centipede, finishing with an overall time of 3:34:28 and an average pace of 28:47 min/mile. Notably, her pace improved significantly after the Hayes Hill segment, where she transitioned from a 33:03 min/mile pace in the fourth mile to an impressive 21:15 min/mile pace by mile six. This adjustment in pace resulted in climbing up the ranks to 1152nd place overall and 610th among females by the sixth mile. While the steep gradient of Hayes Hill presented a challenge between miles 2.2 and 2.7, Giana's ability to pick up speed towards the end shows great resilience. As a member of "Here For The Plot," she demonstrated sustained effort and solid pacing. For future races, focusing on steady pacing in the early stages could further enhance her finishing performance.
