Improved Pacing and Strong Finish Meng Lin participated in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K in San Francisco, showcasing a steady performance throughout the race. Meng's race started strong with a 11:14 min/mile pace for the first mile, which progressively slowed within the next two miles, particularly on Hayes Hill, where the pace dropped to 17:10 min/mile between miles 2 and 3. However, the overall pace was consistent at 13:48 min/mile, for the race. Remarkably, Meng managed to pick up speed considerably in the second half. By the sixth mile, her pace bounced back impressively to 11:49 min/mile, indicating a strong recovery and ability to push through challenging sections. Ending with an elapsed time of 1:42:49, Meng ranked among the top half within her team.
