Consistent Dominance with Strong Finish Tamara Jewett delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. She maintained a consistent pace throughout the 7.45-mile race, with an overall average of 5:28 min/mile. Notably, she held the lead in her division and gender categories for most of the race, finishing as the top female. Her first mile split was an impressive 5:08, indicating a strong start. Despite a slight slowdown during the challenging section of the course between miles 2 and 3 with a 6:16 pace, she quickly recovered and maintained her lead. Her ability to regain a strong pace in subsequent miles, especially during the fifth mile with a 5:24 split, played a critical role in her performance.
