Strong Finish with Improving Consistency Sachin Chopra demonstrated consistent pacing in the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Starting with a 12:17 min/mile pace in the first mile, the pace slightly dropped to 13:16 min/mile by mile two. Notably, Sachin navigated the steep Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 to 2.7, resulting in a slower split time of 15:18 min/mile for mile three. However, there was a commendable recovery with negative splits thereafter, particularly across miles four to seven, where times were 11:40, 12:26, and 11:40 min/mile, respectively. This showcases improved pacing management over the latter miles. Overall, Sachin completed the race in 1:33:07, achieving an average pace of 12:29 min/mile. Such performance placed him within the top half of the field in several categories, including 3024th among male participants and 976th in his age division, highlighting a strong second half of the race.
